ABOUT THE EP FOR EXPLORERS

THE LUCIDWAKE’s debut record; For those who burn quietly, wander endlessly, and rise anyway. WHITEOUT is a body of music born out of motion — inward, outward, and beyond. Written over three years of searching, breaking, and becoming, this EP is the sound of a band chasing something real and refusing to turn back. Each track — a raw emotional excavation; a collision of distortion and clarity, shadow and scream, a trail marker ; Some whisper. Some roar.  WHITEOUT is what emerged — not polished, but powerful. Founding members Jim (guitarist) and Vihaa (vocalist) have written songs not to impress, but to survive as partners in music and life "When you listen to this record, we want you to know that you can survive anything,” Vihaa shares “I needed the music to save me. It’s how I carved myself out of a dark spot. It has the wickedness. It has the self-rediscovery. It also keeps my faith intact. I hope all the LUCIDS see themselves in it.”This EP is for the LUCIDS — the ones who scream inward, who wander through the fog with fire in their chest. It’s for those who know that healing doesn’t always look soft — sometimes, it looks like distortion. Sometimes, it sounds like thunder.WHITEOUT is the sound of a band crossing the line between what is known… and what is necessary. And if you come back from this — you won’t come back the same. WHITEOUT is the beginning of something wild — and it’s just the first step of the band!

don't stop

“Don’t Stop!” is a high-voltage anthem of resilience and defiance. It urges you to charge forward—despite fear, regret, or the ticking clock. With lines like “Live! Moments don’t seize,” and “Walk between the raindrops,” it’s about embracing struggle with courage, shedding doubt, and reclaiming faith. The song defies limitation and time, calling you to laugh louder, dream bolder, and never surrender. It’s a rallying cry to stay true to your path, fight through the dark, and live with unshakable conviction.

bleed

“Bleed” is a raw outpouring of emotional torment—a cry from within the storm. Drenched in haunting imagery, it explores the crushing weight of inner conflict, toxic love, and fading hope. Lines like “You make me bleed” echo deep wounds inflicted by someone—or perhaps the self. Amid shadows, there's a ghost of resilience, a faint cry of hope in the blizzard. The song spirals through despair, but beneath the agony lies a desperate urge for release, redemption, and home. It’s a visceral descent into darkness, with blood on every note—and a whisper of light.

THROUGH MARS

“Through Mars” is an anthem for the seekers—for those chasing meaning through chaos. With introspective lyrics and soaring melodies, it asks: Will you push forward or fold to fear? The pre-chorus urges defiance against doubt, while the chorus ignites a fire to fight through uncertainty and live with the strength of an old soul. It’s about embracing struggle, chasing dreams, and breaking limits. Rock, ice, divides—nothing stops those who dare. This isn’t just a song—it’s your journey.

ROOT N ASH (1).png

rOOT N aSH

“Root N Ash” is a raw reflection on emotional ruin, resilience, and the longing to be seen. Burnt bark, scattered leaves, and fading breaths evoke solitude and survival after heartbreak. The narrator stands alone—weathered, but unbroken—grappling with betrayal, exposed truths, and the silence of disconnection. With aching vulnerability, they offer to burn their past for one more chance at closeness. It's a quiet storm of regret, hope, and the fragile strength it takes to still believe in love, even when walking on thin ice.
